Moraitis School, school chess team

Latest sign of chess

A team of the school played in the primary-school and lower-secondary sections of the Attica school team chess championship (Ομαδικό Πρωτάθλημα Μαθητών – Μαθητριών Αττικής) that the Attica chess clubs’ union (ESSNA) runs, in two editions on the results server: the 21st, whose round 1 was played on 5 April 2025, and the 22nd, whose round 1 was played on 28 March 2026. The match is by the school’s name in the team name; its primary school and its gymnasium each entered both editions. The team is printed as «ΣΧΟΛΗ ΜΩΡΑΪΤΗ ΔΗΜΟΤΙΚΟ» in 2025 and «ΣΧΟΛΗ ΜΩΡΑΪΤΗ ΔΗΜΟΤΙΚΟ» in 2026; «ΣΧΟΛΗ ΜΩΡΑΪΤΗ ΓΥΜΝΑΣΙΟ» in 2025 and «ΣΧΟΛΗ ΜΩΡΑΪΤΗ ΓΥΜΝΑΣΙΟ» in 2026. The results pages are the only chess trace; the school’s own site, opened for its address, says nothing about chess, so the entry stays unconfirmed. The championship is played at a host school, not here; the card records the school’s team, not a session open to visitors.
