Chess in Petroupoli 4

Petroupoli has a clubroom with something on nearly every day of the week. ASOP Dias publishes a programme for the whole week: lectures and team matches early in the week, rapid and blitz events open to all in midweek, rated tournaments by category on Saturday, team games on Sunday morning and a project for players under eighteen on Sunday afternoon. The club teaches children and adults, in groups and one to one.

Two series are played at the same address. The Ultima Chess Series is a chain of rated tournaments by age category held on autumn Saturdays, and the Grand Chess Series lists Grand Prix events in rapid and blitz on midweek dates. The club that is called Skakistikos Omilos Athinon, the Athens chess club, is registered in Petroupoli too, and plays in the cup of the Attica union.
